Many of you know I work with floodplains. As a GIS guy the biggest project I've been working on for the past few years is FEMA's Map Modernization program. I work alongside with Engineers (Enginerds) to update flood insurance maps and revise flood hazard boundaries on a County-wide basis.Not sure if any of you caught this article in the Dispatch a few weeks back, but the Franklin County maps are going throught the final regulatory steps to become official.
