Crazy new iPhone application Ustream!!!!

This allows you to stream live video from your phone to the internet.  There's about a four second delay from phone to web and the quality is about as good as a crappy web-cam.  You can integrate it with facebook and twitter so people can be alerted when your streaming live... cray web 2.0 action!!

The real use for me is it allows you to capture video on the iPhone 3G (not an actual feature on the now  $99 phone). Other than that I can only think of nefarious uses. However there are chat-room features that work on the iPhone so one could presumably use the iPhone to conduct interviews with a person and take user questions via text. If you haven't seen AVATAR yet go see it... this ustream stuff is just the tip!!!

Frusciante leaves the Chili Peppers

John Frusciante has left Red Hot Chili Peppers again. There isn't much he says besides the fact that he has just naturally interested in doing something else. No drama with RHCP or anything like that.
This doesn't surprise me all that much because he has made 7 of his own albums since rejoining the group in 99. They aren't very similar to the Chili Peppers at all. They are really, really good though.
It definitely sucks because they were just going to start recording again and they did just get nominated for induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of fame. They didn't get voted in, but they were on the ballot.

Our New Car Is Officially a Collectors Item!!!

Not sure how many of you have seen the new Saab 9-3 sport combi that Traci and I purchased last month. (I'll try to post some pictures this weekend).

Anyway, GM decided to officially shut down Saab. Looks like this thing will get expensive to repair in the future (still has two years of warranty left).

So far the car has been perfect, good size (not too big, not too small), fun to drive (turbo engine and great handling), and it's got a lot of nice stuff for the same price of a new entry level Camry or Accord...

And now it's a collectors item!

I got back into the Capital City last night - and would like to make the first order of business Thursday Night Football. I've heard rumors of a Witten - Seth Championship in the Grandview League - and that Eddie may be on the verge of getting his bad behavior rewarded in the Bar Owners League (how much, exactly, do you have to stake for it to be even *possible* to win a four figure prize??). I'm happy to report my superior player picking skills (auto-draft) and coaching (default lineup) led Maxiumus Decimus Meridius over the Asian Dream this season - not once, but twice. The stakes: One bottle of beer. Jim, can I put in a special order? Preferably something handmade, limited edition, made by monks in the Alps.. or, as Witten recommended, maybe you could run a five minute special from 10:00-10:05 - all bottles of Bud Light: $50.

In China I'm frequently asked what I miss about the U.S. - and Chicken Wings, Beer, Football, and Bad Service is always at the top of the list.. Grandview B'Dubs? 8ish?
