I've posted a select set from the 613 balloon photos taken during the OPR to Flickr. Take a look and enjoy! I'd like to mosaic all of these together to create one massive image of everything... just need to make the time.
Pretty awesome. It's easy to see the lanes of traffic on that young grass. It was only about 3 months old at the time.
To cut down on the number of pictures, could you set the camera to take a picture every 10 seconds instead of 5? Could we maybe try this again over some of the clear cut areas?
You can tweak the shot time. I'll plan on a LACTATE launch in the clearcut area. Right now we're working on some sort of altimeter based drop system. The last launch was done up near Akron and the line broke so we lost a camera.
We've since got a new one and another launch is scheduled for the weekend. The next launch I do may be at Seth's for a GV football game... we haven't done a night launch yet.
Also I want to try and do a video to see if it's watchable or not.
