They did the same thing with Ted Ginn last year with the Heisman cover issue. He didn't get the numbers until the end of the season. At least it wasn't the Madden cover. In two weeks, we will find out how good they are.
I remember when we got the preseason #1 with Katzenmoyer in like 98. We ended up blowing it somehow. Regardless though, I am f'ing pumped for this year. And I think that only one thing can lead to another National Championship this year: Blinding Optimism.
98 was the year they lost to Michigan State, one of the best college football teams not to win a national championship. They beat Texas A&M in the Sugar Bowl.
