Get ready to re-open your third eye! In six days the new Tool Album will be released. Through sources unknown Jared-Muffin-Swingle received a copy of the entire album. I've yet to talk to him about it, but his text message assures me that it's an "instant classic."
Tool is planning a "mini" U.S. Tour to support the launch (Ticketmaster Dates Here). In fact they'll be playing in Seattle the day the album is released (5/2/06). Not sure if there's any symbology here, but tickets at all venues are $66.66. The closest they'll get to Columbus is Detroit on Monday May 15th. If anyone's interested in attending let me know and I'll be there. Also if you use Google's new calendar feature here's a reminder.

Less than a week.. the only question left is how expensive a bottle of whiskey to buy.. and how much of it to drink before the first, second, and third listenings. I don't think I can make it up for Detroit rock city - but on their next swing through, I definitely want to hit them up somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI've heard the album described as: "It may not be exactly what you are expecting, but it is exactly what you are waiting for."
i have heard the album, its amazing. as it should be. and i think that last comment is the best way to describe it.
