Move Over Risk...

As you're probably aware I'm a big fan of Risk. After purchasing Axis and Allies, Risk seems kinda simplistic. The essense of Axis and Allies is similar but it ups the strategic ante 10 fold. The game takes place during WWII and picks up just after Pearl Harbor, as such the game begins with troops positioned as they were in the spring of 1942. Also, instead of each country playing on their own, you've got the Axis (Germany & Japan) and the Allies (UK, Russia, USA). You win the game by taking over Victory Cities. I haven't played a full game yet, but the board is set up in our dinning room and I'm ready to rock.

So who's coming over for a Friday night (Axis & Allies) Happy Hour? I figure we can relax, throw down a few drinks, and learn how to play the game. If we get sucked in, we get sucked in, if not we can head out on the town. The game is designed for 2-5 players so if no-one else shows up I'll be forced to drag Traci into the game. I've included a couple of links below so you can wrap your brain around the strategy & rules before we enter "the War Room".

Joe... I think you need to make a return road trip for this, it would be good cross training for your brain.
