Don't know if you've seen the trailer on TV yet, but Dave Chapelle's coming out with a new Movie Chappelle's Block Party on March 3rd. It's shot in a "rock-u-mentary" style and follows Dave as he organizes an old-school block party in Brooklyn NY complete with BBQ chicken and a bunch of musicians.Trailer.wmv (large)

In other Chappelle news, he was recently on Inside the Actors Studio with James Lipton. I watched the final hour and half last night and was even more impressed with Chapelle, he really came off as grounded and sincere. He talked openly about race and class issues in the US, his reasons for canceling Season 3 of the Chappelle show and the motivation behind his trip to Africa. He didn't directly discuss the Chappelle conspiracy rumors/web-site, but essentially said he wanted to take a step away from the "Hollywood" and the pressure/fame/commodification associated with receiving a massive TV deal. Check your local listings for repeats, I highly recommend watching this.
