Signing Day

OSU football is a big deal around these parts, people take it seriously. Many of you are probably aware that tomorrow is the deadline for Highschool Football players to declare their intent to play at a University of their choice. The local sports talk radio station 1460am will be broadcasting live from the Buckeye Hall of Fame cafe. Apparently their going to have high school athletes in house, faxing their letters off so they'll have up to the minute coverage.

At this point in the recruiting game a lot of the top prospects (i.e. blue-chippers) have already declared their intents, however as highlighted by this ESPN.com article there's always more talent out there that often gets signed late (Brian Urlacher and Doug Flutie). Joe, you got time for a signing-day recap post for Thursday?

  1. I've been busy, but I hear that Chris Wells, the RB out of Akron, is a stud. I think he scored three touchdowns in the high school All American game. Apparently, he is good enough to give Pittman some competition for the starting spot.
