Oh Ricky

With the NBA trade deadline a month away (Feb 23rd) teams are begining to make some moves. Noteably, Ricky Davis (Ed's Favority NBA baller) was traded from the Boston Celtics to the Minnesota Timberwolves along with some role players and two conditional second-round draft picks for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi, role player Dwayne Jones and a future first-round pick.

In other news Ron Artest was traded to Sacramento for Peja Stojakovic. Perhaps more importantly... Peja won't be playing tonight as the Cavs take on the Pacers in Inidiana (7:00pm). Typically a middle of the season match up is nothing to get excited about in the NBA. However, a win by the Cavs will give them a 3-1 series against the Pacers (head to head record serves as a tie breaker when determining playoff births). [San Jose Mercury News].

The past two seasons the Cavs finished one game out of the playoffs because of tiebreaker losses (or the Cleveland Sports curse... you be the judge). GO CAVS!

  1. Rick Ditty run the city, show no pity. I remember when he shot on the wrong basket during a game, just to get the rebound so he would have a triple double.

Peja for Artest seems fair. One is an incredible outside shooter who can be a bit lazy. The other is a tenacious defender that brings along a lot of baggage.
