Brit Back

Michael Owen, the anti-ageing superstar, moved from Liverpool to the mighty Real Madrid during the summer. The media suggested he would never start a game, with the likes of Raul and Ronaldo ahead of him. However after a series of 5 goals from 5 substituted appearance for 'la galacticos' Owen won the hearts of the Madrid fans with his typically english, industrious performances.
I think the aspect of his game that they favour the most is that he can play as a lone striker, up front on his own. Not in the Alan Shearer mould of holding up play for his team mates and heading down high balls, oh no. With Owen up front you can play shallow, compacting the midfield and allowing Ronaldo close promixty to your midfield consisting of Zinedine "Zizou" Zidane, Luis Figo and David Beckham. One magical pass from any of those boys springs the off-side trap and Owens pace allows him to burst past opposing defences to either slot home for the goal of run out wide to cross for Ronaldo...which he's done a lot of.

Hope that helped.

Anyway, E-lo get on booking those train tickets. you have to book them ASAP of they WILL sell out and then you'd be fooked! no kidding, do it.
