Rax Restraunts Making a Comeback?

Pat maybe you can join Rich in bringing back Rax. This might be a great way for you to reenter the workfoce. Rax seems to have always been a calling for you.

Can Rax finally make a comeback?

"Rich Donohue was fired in 1992 after a decade with Rax Restaurants Inc., and his boss’ parting message sticks with him to this day.

“See that sign? It says Rax, not Rich’s,” Donohue said he was told after his dismissal, which centered on a fundraising breakfast he held against his boss’ wishes.

That was when Columbus-based Rax counted hundreds of restaurants across a large swath of the nation. Now the roast beef sandwich chain has 11 restaurants in five states. While the name on the sign still says Rax, the owner of that sign is Rich. And he’s thinking about a roast beef resurgence.

“I think it’s a great concept,” Donohue said. “I think it’s been beaten down a little, but it still has a pulse. I think I can revive it. It’s not going to happen overnight, but my goal is to regrow the company.”"

Found this review of the Lancaster Rax:

    http://www.columbusunderground.com/rax-road-trip-and-roast-beef-review

Unfortunately, the reviewer is clearly unqualified for the job - he drove all the way to Lancaster and got the *mozzarella sticks*?? What's that? And he got a Regular Rax. No Mushroom Melt, no Philly Melt, no King... not even a Deluxe (no tomato). A miscarriage of justice.

  3. As an elected official for the city of grandview heights, I would like to cordially invite the fine people of rax to open a store anywhere in the city limits of Grandview. The tax incentives would be incredible.

Besides that the people on this blog are good for about 1K a year.... per person. I honestly would average 4-6 Mushroom melts a week.

  4. If "Rich" really wants Rax to thrive he needs to hire Gene. There are few things more conducive to profitable fast-food operations than Gene in full regalia - headset, ponytail and apron. He walks to work so traffic and tardiness are never a problem. Although it could be said that he sold out when he cut the ponytail and pledged alliegence to the Yankees, er, I mean Wendy's.
