First off - some jokes:

Q - What do you call a Bengal wearing a Super Bowl ring?

A - You can get four quarters out of a dollar.

College Basketball is approaching. CBS Sportsline.com gave Notre Dame a preseason top 10 ranking. Good to see their basketball is picking up while their football is a bit down. The Buckeyes get another great center in BJ Mullins out of Canal Winchester. I hope he is dominating, but I also hope he does not declare for the draft after his first year like our last two starting centers, both of which were first round picks. David Lighty should provide decent leadership, but they will need good shooting out of Jon Diebler, and good slashing out of Evan Turner. Most preseason polls I've seen have the Bucks at about 20th to start the season.

One quick note on politics. I hate both the Repubs and the Dems, but I must admit that I hate the Repubs more. Answer me this one question: How is war a "conservative" thing? Let's go on these basic definitions. Conservative = Small government, low taxes, little government intervention. Liberal = Large government, high taxes, lots of government intervention. So how is going to war a "conservative" act. Our war in Iraq is undoubtedly expensive and expansionist. I heard that we are giving some Iraqis a monthly stipend to get their economy going. And even war supporters say that we are there to "spread freedom". War is a "liberal" thing to do. It expands our government and wastes a lot of our money.

I learned that Halliburton recently moved their headquarters from Houston to Dubai. I guess that is the thanks we get for the $50 billion no-bid contract we gave them a few months ago.
