Sports Update

Quote of the Week

Ron Artest - Sacramento Kings Forward, on Michael Vick:

"He lied and then came back and apologized to everybody. I felt that was classy."

Sign of the Apocolypse

A Florida man pleaded guilty to giving steroids to his 13-year-old son, who was training for a roller skating competition.

Game to Watch

Ravens v. Bengals - Monday Night - 9:oopm ESPN

High powered offense v. brutal defense. Carson Palmer has been timid ever since his nasty knee injury in the 05 playoffs. A banged up offensive line will have to do their best to give him time. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and company will be out for blood. Willis McGahee may have a field day against a weak run defense.

College Football

Ohio State

Looking solid so far. No stars on offense have emerged, but Lauranitis and Jenkins lead a defense that might not give up 20+ points in a game all season. Washington will be a good road test, and the Huskies just upset a good Boise State program. Their next challenges will be a few months out in Happy Valley and at home against Wisconsin.

Michigan

Horrible. Would likely lose to Watterson 96. First Division 1-A team ever to lose to a 1-AA team. Congrats to Appalachian State. Chad Henne talks like a sissy and his play is no different. If Lloyd Carr does not get fired this year we in Buckeye Nation should consider it a blessing.

Florida

Fuck Florida. Their team is full of criminals as is the entire SEC. In fact, I think that SEC stands for "Should be En la Carcel". All Florida fans are bad people who deserve to spend the rest of their life in an eternal hellfire.

Oregon

Way to go Ducks! Their throttling of Michigan was enjoyable entertainment. Dixon, their mobile quarterback, gives them a lot of options. A stable of strong running backs does not hurt their cause either. Along with USC and Cal, the Pac 10 will be tough this year.

Notre Dame

Gorman, for your sake, I will withhold my opinion here.

  1. Classy post, classy!

I want pictures of the 13-year old roid-raging roller skater!

Can't wait for monday night football... after yesterday's ~7 hour opening weekend at Ed's I'm inclined to lay on my couch and stay up as late as possible (Houshmanzadah needs to put up Reggie Wayne + Peyton Manning Numbers for me to win in the WK league).
