Randomness

I'm not on vacation and I'm not sick, I just haven't made time for the blog. For your pleasure here's a wham bam, quick thought run down post highlighting what's been on my mind lately...

Our house - Traci and I have been diligently painting for the last two weeks. Yea, we're kinda crazy but this involved primer + two coats on the walls... also when you use two different finishes of paint on the ceiling you end up painting it a couple of more times. We're still planning on painting the kitchen and getting everything done before our possible Thanksgiving party.

Sports: I love this time of the year, Baseball comes to an end with the world series, Football is in full swing, Hockey is picking up steam, and Le Bron James makes everyone else in the NBA seem way overpaid.

Chicago: Alex and I will be leaving for the windy city in a few hours (expect mo-blog action over the weekend). Jimmy is also making the trip, but he'll be flying while Al and I will be driving. Of course we're going for the Macy's Great Tree Lighting on Saturday (wouldn't miss it for the world!).


Buckeye Football Fever: Of course the real reason we're heading to Chicago is to watch the tackle football Buckeyes battle the Northwestern Wildcats. We all know what happened last time we made this trip :( This will be a completely different game, with Heisman baller Troy Smith playing every down.

Music: The Black Keys will be playing Promo West on November 17th (same day the PS3 is released). These two guys from Akron seriously rock out... check out their new Album Magic Potion (you can stream it off their website). The video for "your touch" is pretty cool, chock-full-o scenes from scenic Akron Ohio.

And yea, the chili peppers rock! John Frusciante has clearly entered into Jimmy Page/Pete Townsend greatness. I'll have to post a crappy cell-phone flick from the concert... once I'm back in the lab.
