So opening day for the Reds was today, and as always, there was plenty of hoopla and anticipation. This could be the year, you know... Did anyone know that the Cincinnati Redstockings were the first ever all professional baseball team in the U.S.? Regardless, they got pounded today by the Cubs, 16-7. Probably a sign of things to come from a team with a good offense, and consistently shitty pitching. And the other Ohio team, the Tribe, got beat by the other Chicago team, the White Sox, with former Indian Jim Thome leading the charge.
In other news, E and I are buying a house. Here's the link if any of you care. It is in Mt. Washington, on the East side of town, in between Hyde Park and Anderson. We close in early May and I vow to have a big screen, pool table, full bar and humidor for stogeys within a year or two.
I hope you and Erick are happy together - i always knew you two would come to terms with your true feelings one day. How does your wife feel about this?
ReplyDeleteI actually watched a few innings of the Giants / somebody else game... Bonds had a base hit... but didn't explode in a roid-rage (darn).
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the house... looks sweet, nice back yard / deck and it seems "move in ready"... the previous owners must have been decent.
You'll have to have a house warming party soon... maybe we can hit up a reds game then kick it at your new crib.
And Erin doesn't mind cause she knows Joe and I "keep it real".
Nice place Joe. The back yard/deck and basement look pretty sweet. Above that fire place would be the ideal place for a plasma
ReplyDeleteCongrats! What's the area like? Will the full bar include a kegerator?
ReplyDeleteNice Place Joe, Welcome to the club of yellow kitchens. They seem to be everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYea!!!! Congrats on the house you two, that's so exciting!! I can't wait to come down and visit!
