First, Cleveland Brown's fans own the rights to the phrase "Dawg Pound". Apparently a sports apparel company tried to claim they owned the rights, but a Federal Judge decided otherwise. Not sure if there's been any recent developments but here's the original AP story I found on yahoo about a month ago.
In convergence tech news... yahoo has developed a little program for certain nokia smart phones that will tag cell-phone pics with locational information (Link Here). The idea is you take a pic with your camera, upload it to flickr, where the location tag lets you link to a map of where you took the pic. I could see some interesting geo-caching type uses for this.
Finally Here's Landon Donivan sporting the new US Soccer Kit. Looks like a winner. Brit, we need more world cup coverage!
I can't believe 'geo-caching' is i the dictionary....mind you it's wikipedia, I think the English Oxford Dictionary people may feel it's only Balderdash & Piffle.
ReplyDeleteLandon Donovan looks like a poor mans David Beckham Wannabe - you want to see a kit launch? Look here bitches. Now there's some soccer superstars!
Erick, didn't I mention something like that for landscape shots? Is there a way to accurately add shot location after the fact. I still think a map interface for a slide show would be pretty cool. Just wave the mouse over a map location to see a thumbnail, click to view. Any programmers out there want to get started?
