I'm sure more than a few g-town readers have created a gmail address. Aside from the two gigs of storage, they also provide a clean/fast interface that utilizes Ajax (just like google maps, flickr, web2.0 apps et al). Recently they've incorporated their chat client into the main window, so you can IM people from your mail client without installing hardware on a local machine. I'd like to try out the chat functionality... but I don't have anyone in my contact list with a g-mail address. Anyway, send an email to gtownlove@gmail.com from your gmail account if your like me and want to try out google's chat functionality (note to self: don't hold your breath)

ReplyDeletegmail is google's web mail. Check out mail.google.com. You sign up by sending them a text message.
