England forward Michael Owen has signed for Newcastle for a club record fee.
Owen, who passed a medical on Tuesday and agreed a four-year deal, joins from Real Madrid for £17m - beating the £15m Newcastle paid for Alan Shearer.

I dont claim to know much about soccer, but I do know getting Owen is HUGE!!!! He is a bad ass in Fifa second in my heart only to Van Instelroy (sp?). I only say this b/c I have scored more with him then Owen.....
