Hey, sorry E-lo
I'm at home and so don't have your email address. Just so you know Helen is okay, i saw her yesterday while in....London. I left Kings cross on the last train out. Kings X has now been hit by a blast. Anyway, thought you may wanna know.
Yea it was the first thing I heard on the NPR this morning. They just played Blair's first statement from the G8. It sounds like their waiting to announce a new death count as well, right now they've only said two killed and 150 severely injured but everyone they interview feels like it will be a lot more. This shit is crazy... I'm glad Helen's o.k. anyone else down there? I can't imagine what a bomb at Kings cross would do... will al-queda ever go away?
ReplyDeleteMessed up... the terrorists successfully add fuel to the fire as the war machine continues to grind.
ReplyDeleteYou can stream BBC radio & TV live through their website, links off of their main story here. The video feed wasn't working for me but the audio is.
ReplyDeleteHere's an update from Helen:
ReplyDelete"Hey. It's all gone a bit mad! I got to work just after the first explosion but before everything went completely crazy, thankfully. Think everyone I know has checked in, so all ok. Bit scared that I went through Edgeware Road station about half an hour before the explosion there. Not sure how I'll get home but think my sister is going to try and drive in to pick me up. Apparently loads of roads are closed at the moment so hope they'll re-open soon. I have a days leave booked for tomorrow, which is handy, so I don't have to worry about getting to work tomorrow.
Thanks for checking in."
I'm glad to hear you are both okay! That's really scary, especially since you were both in one of the spots within the last 24 hours. Hopefully all this will go away, sooner rather than later.
