Don't know if you heard about this or not, but NASA's Jet Propulsion Labratory shot a big hunk of metal at a comet yesterday in order to learn about the stuff that makes up our universe. Anyway they've got some crazy videos and a ton of images so check 'em out if you get time. Of course a ton of these images are on flickr as well, just search for deepimpact tags.

As a matter of fact.. I did hear that. Stef's uncle works for NASA (can't get me a job there though). I'd like to just take a little space and let you know how Stef and I spent our 4th. It began at 11pm on the 3rd when our washer suddenly blew a connection and dumped an ass-load of water all over our house. It literally went everywhere. I'm not good at estimating liquid measures so, I'd say it was maybe 954 gallons. We were up until 4am mopping that shit up. Our 4th sucked.
ReplyDeleteThat's not a good way to spend the 4th. You didn't get to go to a parade or anything? Traci, Ka, Gorman and I went to a party at Tony Masoneli's house and checked out the Arlington fireworks... a standard Columbus 4th.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had fun. We decided to stay in. Going out around here you always run the risk of getting caught up in some kind of Mexican drug/illegal immigrant smuggling operation and crazy, violent hatdances break out all the time. Seriously, we've become shut-ins 'cause this place sucks so bad. 104 today... 104... I HATE IT!!!!
