Friday Update

Traci and I closed on our house this morning... so we're officially 'proud' home owners. Here's a gmap link to the new place (note the proximity to Byrnes'). Sorry for the lack of posting, I'll try to make up for it over the weekend. Speaking of weekend...The CD101 Summer Fest is this Sunday and I received 6 Tickets from a co-worker friend. Cake is the headlining act and I'm guessing they'll hit the stage around 9:00pm. Tickets are only $5. I'd like to check out some of the other bands so I may (drag traci along) get to the show around 7:00pm. Let me know if you want to see Cake and we'll kick it. The concert is at promowest (the outdoor version).

Also Jazz and Rib Fest is this weekend. Seth and I came to this conclusion... "I like Jazz and I like Ribs... so why not go to a festival dedicated to both?" We've got tentative plans to go there tonight around 8:30pm to get some dinner and hang out for a couple of hours.

Oh yea I hope everyone was able to see the pig-roast montage video... check out the OPR blog if you haven't yet.

BTW: The cavs signed Donyell Marshall (My take: Drew Gooden is gone or gets a reduced salary). If the cavs could develop a clone of an early 90's Mark Price they'd be unstoppable.

Erick you're implying that at a reduced salary is an option which it is not, unless Drew Gooden signs a new, worse contract. He could be part of a sign and trade with another team for a possible point guard but I believe he'll be on the team and rightfully so on Opening Night in October. Donyell will come off the bench and Drew will start, Gooden averaged 14 points, 10 boards last year. The Cavs are heading to the NBA Finals in the next three years and don't worry we have Lebron under contract for three more years, no matter the out-of-touch Stephen A. Smith tells you. Cleveland rocks! Mark Price is sexy as f*ck!

  2. Alright, I guess I just imagine Drew playing the back up role... the guy is not consistent and is essentially a "potential" guy in my imagination. Having both definitely adds depth which they need... LeBron needs good role players and someone to play D... looks like they got that with their summer pick ups. I hope the new coach lets Luke Jackson on the court (can he stroke it?).
