Ladies' Day

This picture was pulled from the BBC's Day in pictures which posts interesting pics each day from around the world. A lot of web-news sites do this but BBC seems to pull some good ones. This one is from "Ladies' Day at the Royal Ascot race meeting, held this year in the northern English city of York." Andy can you explain what the hell is going on in York?

Just thought I'd grab the attention of male G-town readers.

  1. It's a 4 or 5 day horse day racing event that has been going for about 200yrs. Traditionally the ladies didn't care about the horse racing, so used to amuse themselves by scammng the most expensive dresses they could out of their rich husbands. Nowadays Ascot is a lavish affair attended by only the most glitzy of celebrities and Royalty, where hats for the ladies are a fashion necessity.

  4. I wonder why it exists - but I also wonder how you stumbled across it Carter.. I know google is powerful - but I wouldn't think men's cologne would come up under a search for "Jeff Gordon Man Boobs"

  5. Who doesn't love the smell of a nice pair of "Man Boobs"?

  6. I'll admit... I've got some time on my hands. I haven't worked in about a week... I just stopped showing up. I never knew it was that easy. And as for my... shall we say, fascination with all things Jeff Gordon, I think the 24 tattooed on my left buttock is just about all you need to know.

  7. There is a story in the paper today about the police having to get involved inbreaknig up a fight between two 'ladies' at Ascot. It's got a great shot of some stupid, drunk, Tara-Palmer wannabe in a skimpy dress sat on her arse crying like a little madam...NATIONAL FAME!
