In contract...?

Please excuse the lack of posting over the last couple of days. Traci and I have been meeting with banks and making offers / counter offers on a house in Grandview. I'm hesitant to post the address here, out of fear of internet stalkers. I know, I know, it doesn't seem likely, but with SO MANY undocumented visitors a day one can never be sure. Anyway, the last few days have been a blur, with birthday dinners and long conversations with lenders. Tonight around 6:00 Traci and I will accept the seller's counter offer and we can start the whole inspection process and finalize the loan. The closing date is July 31, so once we get back from vacation we'll probably have a house warming party... G-town unite! Yea, maybe we can even set get a web cam up and interact with our friends across the pond and on the other side of the country (only in my gadget-tech dreams right). Alright I should get going... keep it real ya'll... pig roast is just over two weeks away!

  4. It hasn't been that bad... the realitor is layed back and my approach has been I have nothing to loose. If we didn't get the house we'd just sign another year lease and be more informed on the whole process next year. Hell, anything could happen during the inspection so this might not be final. Good point on the whore house... we should have worked that into our offer.

  5. Good work on the house... to answer your earlier question, Chicago was all right. A few good companies were there... and a few shitty ones. I think my best offer was from Caterpillar for a supervisory position in Decatur, IL... Land o' Lincoln and shit. But hey, if anybody out there could take a look at my resume and if anyone has any job search advice in general, that'd be sweet.
