Yes, this car is made by Ford. It's the reincarnated GT40. Bam can probably provide more info... it's based off a car ford built in the late 60s that won the 24 hour LeMans Race. (it falls somewhere in the near super-car category).
Hey I'm glad you brough that stuff up. I forgot about those cars for a while. That Charger came just in time to blow away the Mustang. I saw the Commander 2 years ago in C-bus as a concept car at the autoshow. I can't believe that they are actually going to put it on the market?! I remember being startled by it. It was seriously intimidating. It actully looked different then. I think it looks just like a Cherokee now. That Ford car E was talking about that won the LeMans was actully a great moment in American sports history. Think of it as the USA hockey team that beat Russia or Lance Armstrong. Yes, supercar.
The ford GT-40 was designed after Englishman Eric Broadley's Lola prototype, built in England and is so named due to it's overall height of 40 inches. An American team won the 1967 24 hours of Le Mans. It was a two man team of Dan Gurney and A. J. Foyt.
How many people have seen "Team America World Police". That's where the "AMERICA FUCK YEA" comment comes from. The movie is great. Andy and I watched it over in Newcastle. The European version included a sex scene that was removed over here. Puppets having sex is funny. Try this link to see the character I made...
