Preemptive Friday

I know tomorrow is Friday, but I thought I'd get a preemptive post out there to figure out what people have going on this weekend. If memory serves, tomorrow James 'Puppy Dog' will be celebrating his birthday by having a poker party. I need to work on my poker face so I'm planning on hitting it up. I don't expect to be at the final table so going to another destination before the night is over is a definite possibility (dig that contradiction).

In other news I found an interesting story about our brother's across the pond... apparently they've got a thing for U.S. tv shows. "Britian a hotbed for illicit TV downloads - Reuters" I'm sure Andy has probably downloaded his fare share of '24' episodes.

Also here's an article about a proposed Indiana Bill that would have limited local government's ability to provide wifi internet service to their citizens (the bill was blocked before the Indiana House could vote on it). These kind of issues keep popping up more and more as cities look into providing free wifi.

Have cities in England / or Europe run into these issues? I think I remember hearing that Taipei either has or is planning a city wide wifi network. The point is... cheap and readily available internet access could really impact our daily lives (for better or worse).

  1. Party Boy is coming to James' tonight. Tomorrow is his 3rd Birthday. Once anybody gets knocked out of poker, Party Boy will knock you out of your mind
