Field work...

Today I got to leave my cubicle for a good five hours. I went out with a co-worker to collect GPS point locations of street light poles in Gahanna. We've got this hybrid GPS/PDA (Trimble GEO Explorer incase you were wondering Brit). It's a slick little devise, having the PDA touch screen allows you to enter attribute information much easier than with some funky keyboard. Also the display allows you to load in background layers (i.e. an orthophoto / parcel outlines / street right of ways... so you can tell where you are and where your point is going to be located. Even though it was cold and damp... (very similar to Newcastle) it was nice to get away from the cube.

Alright enough about me and my work day... what's everybody doing on this weekend? Anyone going to punish their liver and watch sports?
