Muh Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah!!! I got bored after a few hours of giving cough drops, pennies, toothbrushes and cigarettes to trick-or-treaters so I fitted myself a nice pumpkin helmet. It kind of smelled funny, but I got used to it after a couple of hours. Anyways, I also uploaded some of the pictures from the Bengals/Steelers tailgating last week.

Monday = Guy's Night?
I remember this idea came up on Friday night... so is it true? Anyone out there in the blogging world remember the "Jim's Playhouse" discussion... it involved football, beer, videogames... etc. I've still got my N64 so we could play Golden Eye on an incredibly large TV!!!

Homeward Bound
Besides being my all-time-favorite movie, that phrase has new meaning for me today. Earlier this week we found a house we liked and just this morning, our offer was accepted. We'll soon be homeowners. We ended up choosing West Chester, just north of 275 and east of 75. It's still a short drive to work but you can get more for your money out there. So, Neighbor Joe, we'll need to celebrate in some way I think. We don't close until the 21st on November, pretty soon really, but when we do you can all come down (even the Brit). In Halloween news, Stefanie's got a wedding to go to Saturday and a baby shower on Sunday so... I figure I'll want to hang myself by Monday.
ESPN.com - MLB/PLAYOFFS2005 - Stark: South Side redemption

I watched about 4 innings of playoff baseball this year... but hooray for Gorman and the city of Chicago! I don't know what's up with this picture... I found it on this yahoo slide show. I guess real men kiss each other after winning the city's first world series in 88 years.
Flickr adds printing
You can now order prints from Flickr and pick them up from your local target store. You'll have to tweak your account preferences and you can choose to allow anyone on flickr to print your pics or just you or your contacts. I guess you get your first 10 free and 4x6 pics cost 15c a piece.

Halloween Plans?
I'm not sure what's going on this weekend... I had plans to go out of town but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. It's never too early to talk about the weekend right, so does anyone else have Halloween plans? One of my co-workers is having a Halloween party this Friday and Jill will be celebrating her birthday, so for Friday night there's a divide... oh yea GHHS will be playing football I assume. What about The Brit... you got any wild and crazy Halloween parties to attend? I can imagine going out for a night on the town in Newcastle in a crazy costume... that'd be a blast. Oh and FYI: Maxim's top rated "Most Annoying Song" in last months issue was Holla Back Girl.

Thanks Ed
For letting me post that picture. It is raunchy like no other album cover, but it makes me laugh everytime I see it. Our blogg can go back to its normal PG 13 rating now that I deleted the post.
In other news, Iowa has officially declared October Porktober. Founders, I'm hoping you guys will do the same for Ohio in July.
Also, Bill Romanowski recently released a new book, Romo, chronicling his umpteen years as a linebacker in the NFL. I saw him on 60 minutes, what a friggin' psycho. He once grabbed Dave Megget's finger in the bottom of a fumble pile and twisted it until he heard a snap followed by a scream.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'...
My parents added a porch onto the front of their house. As I was sitting outside on the stoop I couldn't help but remember Rollin'. Sure, it was a short-lived game but I though maybe after a few beers some people might be up for it. Although, while doing physical training one morning about six months ago, we did a little rolling of our own... combativies or some crap. I spent three days in bed with a seriously screwed up back. We'll see you at Byrnes.
Carter Time?

So Today's the big day right? Carter is officially free of his commitment to the U.S. Army. Every Wednesday is dart night at Byrnes if I'm not mistaken... so how's about some beer, darts, and pizza? Spread the word!!!! I'll probably walk over from mi casa around 8:00pm... if anyone wants to stop by and check out the new pad before hand your more than welcome. Chris can you make it?

Delicious
Do you delicious? Delicious has been around for a while but I just recently set up an account there. This site provides you with a place to store your bookmarks online. If your familar with flickr, then think of this as flickr for bookmarks. You can tag your bookmarks and see how many other people share your bookmarks and you can look at the most popular bookmarks and basically find cool stuff on the web. Anyway, the interface is really clean and simple to use. I've posted some bookmarks to a g-town user-group and if you'd like to add stuff the username and password are both gtownlove. The link at the top will take you to our page of links... these are just a start, feel free to add more.

Risk Night?
Traci and I got a fresh dinning room table from a friend. This thing is huge and is begging for a game of Risk. Anyone interested? I may invest in an Axis & Allies Game which is bigger and badder than Risk (more fitting for the table). Traci and I are 90% finished painting the upstairs bedrooms so a lot of the Junk seen in the background of the pic will be moved upstairs making more room for Risk / beer drinking in the dinning room.
Will i finally win a game?
Well, as some of you may know I been getting my butt kicked quite a bit in the fantasy tackle tackle football game. This week is the turn around, but it all depends on tonights game. Go Gangsters!!
Will E-Rock be the only team to lose to the Gangsters???

Last Call 2
In case you didn't know, Jared was in town last weekend for his Sister Ally's wedding. We made a pilgramage to Byrnes and drank a few pints, believe it or not it was my first time there in a while. I brought my camera and the only pictures I took were of the bar just after they called last call. Usually they don't just stack the glasses on the bar in a random pattern, but they did this night and I thought it would make a good pic. Jared... you got any more trips planned for this year?

Big News From Apple
Apple made a few announcements today... I can't wait till they update their line of laptops.
-New I-pod that plays video and has video out
-Updated I-mac with built in camera / flash / web conferencing software
-Front Row - New media-centric interface with blue-tooth remote
Jim... it may be time to trade in your mac and upgrade. The media center features look cool... It'd be nice if it was offered with the mac-mini, it'd make a sweet home entertainment center... although an x-box360 can do similar stuff for less cash. Oh yea, along with the video i-pod the I tunes music store will sell current ABC tv shows like Lost and and Disney stuff for $1.99

Job for Carter?
Carter have not heard much from you since you have been back, does that mean you are employed or are you just to busy sitting around you parents house to post?
40 of Choice
This week’s games beg the question, What really is the best malt liquor? Is it OE as voted by The Eazy-E Memorial Football league or is it in fact Colt 45 who remains 5-0 despite the lackluster performance of the once high scoring Running Back Willie Parker and Wide Reciever Keenan McCardell

The Carter Factor
Well, I guess I should apologize for my recent absence on the blog. I've been fairly busy though with interviews and sleeping 'til noon. I just got back from San Jose, working in Silicon Valley seems frightening. The real reason for the post though... I've been offered a job with GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati. Seems like a pretty good deal and it's right here in Ohio. I'm expecting another offer with a company in Dallas so I've got some thinking to do. Stef and I are headed to Lake Erie this weekend for some fun in the cold but when I get back I was wondering if anyone out there would like to join me in some celebratory beers... what with me being employed shortly I figure I can cover the first round. Talk to you later...

1917
That was the last time the White Sox won the World Series. But this year they are rolling. I just turned on 1000 AM, an ESPN radio station from Chicago that somehow comes through in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. El Duque entered the game in the bottom of the 6th with no outs, the bases loaded and clinging to a one run lead. He got the first two batters to pop out and struck out Johnny Damon to end the inning.
Word on the Street...
Jared will be back in Columbus this weekend? Could this be true? If so... party at the moon tower. Also Joe and Erin may be back for the OSU game (party at Sara & James's).

Imperial College London - Scientists make first step towards growing human lungs for transplant
My dream of "replaceable body parts" may one day come true. Imagine the possibilities... NIKE Air Jordan Legs... Mike Vick Arms... Wille Nelson Lungs... etc.
Plateau?

Here's a chart of G-town Love's visit and page view stats ending in September. Looks to me like we've leveled off to a degree. Also, notice the high rate of growth between April and June... which I'm calling the "Carter-Effect". Let me know if there are other's out there who'd like to contribute... we're due for another Carter Effect.
Busted
Check out these shirts from BUSTEDTEES.com. I think I found Ed's new favorite t-shirt... you like The Big Lebowski right? I've got a few more posts saved up so expect more updates today.

Fantasy Football: Congrats to Erock (sort of)
Erick finally won his first game with an imprressive score of 122. As for your trade for the banged-up Stephen Jackson (giving up Jamal Lewis) Im not quite as keen about it.
On that note... Joey what do you want for Lewis?

E-tainment
In case you didn't know I'm looking forward to the next round of video-game consoles to be released (some things never change). Check out this image from NBA2k6. The designers have built sweat models and cloth models. The price of these consoles means I'll be waiting a year or two before I take the plunge... in the meantime a new SOCOM game is coming out in a couple of weeks (I'm looking forward to playing this at Jim's house in Hi-def. One final game of note is Grand Theft Auto - Liberty City Stories. This one is for the PSP, making the GTA experience playable anywhere. They're also adding some multi-player modes so you can battle using the PSP's built in Wi-fi. Consume on!
